BEFORE YOU GET YOUR UNDERPANTS IN A TWIST, YES, I DO REALIZE THAT SELF-DIAGNOSIS CAN BE USEFUL IN HELPING SAY WHAT YOU THINK YOU MIGHT HAVE TO A DOCTOR. OTHERWISE, KEEP SELF-DIAGNOSIS TO OBVIOUS THINGS LIKE THE FLU.

Alright, sorry in advance if this gets a little rant-ish, but I'm sick of special snowflake tumblrinas self-diagnosing serious mental issues and then wearing it like a badge of honor.

NEWSFLASH, BEING MENTALLY ILL SUCKS ASS.

I've been professionally diagnosed with bipolar disorder type 2, depression, anxiety, and I have taken treatment for OCD. I take medication for all of them, minus OCD- mood stabilizers, antidepressants, stuff like that. But it's not fucking fun.

While I haven't had any particularly bad issues (mostly just small problems with being in public), my uncle, who has bipolar type 1, has had hallucinations, suicidal episodes, and has been hospitalized several times to keep him safe, and some of my mother's friends have had similar issues.

Basically, stop bullshitting around with serious problems until you actually understand what it's like.

Go ahead and use it, just let me know. Also, don't try to start arguments here. I'll hide your comment if you do.

If you can afford to get diagnosed and treated great but in my experience being on spectrum it meant also going thrU more hoops socially it’s a diverse experience. Not always great sometimes good I find🤔
